Your mission

Job description
  • Your Mission as a Sourcing and Partnership Development Manager at Climeworks, is to actively contribute to the development and management of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) supply partnerships to help grow the Climeworks Solutions business for the organization. The team you’re joining is responsible for securing CDR from different technologies beyond direct air capture across the globe to include in Climeworks’ new portfolio offering.
  • Partner Identification: You collaborate with senior team members to identify potential partners across carbon removal technologies and avenues for partnering. You support the exploration of new market opportunities and project development.
  • Partnership Support: You assist in defining desired partnership terms and provide support in external contract negotiations. Additionally, you interface with internal Legal and Science teams to develop contract agreements.
  • Funnel management and supplier conversion: You support in managing suppliers across the entire partnership lifecycle from setting up NDAs and MoUs, identifying needs, developing commercial terms sheets to contract drafting.
  • Ecosystem Building & Market Insights: You play a role in building and expanding Climeworks' ecosystem and network, including creation of external publications.
  • Reporting & Inventory Management: You develop and maintain reporting & inventory management systems to track partnership progress and developments. You also join regular discussions with company leadership on progress and strategy.
  • Collaboration: You interface with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination in risk management efforts.

Your story

Requirements
  • You bring an excellent academic record in relevant field (e.g., Business/ Finance, Sciences) and 3-5 years' work experience in a fast-moving environment (Banking, PE, Consulting, Startup).
  • You have outstanding communication skills, and the ability to interface with senior external partners and internal teams.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • You are passionate about sustainability and climate action.
  • You are a proactive team player, eager to contribute to the growth of Climeworks' partnerships and network.
  • You bring familiarity with carbon removal technologies and carbon markets as a plus.
  • You possess familiarity with carbon removal technologies and carbon markets, which is a plus.

At Climeworks, we carefully consider market indicators to determine the compensation model for our positions. The salary range has been set by factors such as function, career level, and location and therefore may vary. The US base salary for this full-time position is typically $130,000 - $170,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We use the recruitment process to determine your career level, job-related skills, and depth of experience to make an informed and fair salary offer.
