Your mission
Job description
Instrumentation and controls development: You actively participate in the electronic instrumentation and controls development of direct air capture testing infrastructure.
Test facility development: You play a crucial role in the further development of our small- to mid-scale test facilities, contributing significantly to their technological advancement.
Automation software support: You assist with the development of our automation software to ensure consistency between facilities and improve efficiency.
Feasibility assessment: You assess the feasibility of different measurement methods based on test outcomes and practical applications, providing recommendations for improvements or alternative approaches.
Your story
Requirements
Educational background: You have completed a BSc in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics Engineering or a relevant field within the past year or are currently enrolled in a master's program.
Programming and technical skills: You possess sound knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, C++) and ideally have experience with PLC programming and/or industrial communication protocols.
Learning motivation: You desire to expand your knowledge in industrial process controls and the development of software.
Work style: You demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and creativity, especially when working with unknown or incomplete information. In addition, you are reliable, performance-driven, and maintain a structured working style.
Language skills: You are fluent in English.
Availability: You are available to start on September 1st, 2025, for a 6-month internship.

What we offer:
At Climeworks, our six-month internships offer a hybrid work setup, giving you flexibility while ensuring valuable collaboration by working onsite at least three days per week. To maintain fairness, we follow a standardized salary process based on market benchmarks. For our internships based in Switzerland, the compensation is:
During BSc & MSc: CHF 2,000 per month
After completion of MSc: CHF 2,500 per month
